Bernardo Video Decision

A number of media outlets applied for access to a video interview between Paul Bernardo and police. The interview was conducted on June 7, 2007 in connection with the investigation into the Robert Baltovich murder case and the disappearance of Elizabeth Bain. Police interviewed Bernardo in an attempt to determine whether he was involved in Bain's disappearance. Justice McCombs allowed the media outlets to obtain copies of the video and permitted them to broadcast the video on TV and websites over the objections of the Crown.
