Mr. Mackenzie retired as Senior Advisor, Legal Affairs, Sun Media effective December 31, 2008. Mr Mackenzie continues to maintain a private practice serving media clients. Mr Mackenzie had previously served as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary of Osprey Media (2004-2007), as Vice-President, General Counsel and Secretary of Southam Inc. and /or successor companies (1992-2002), and as General Counsel and Secretary of Torstar Corporation (1980-1992). Prior to 1980 he was in private practice with Blake, Cassels and Graydon in Toronto.
